The object of the course work is the use of numerical methods for solving differential equations, namely the wave equation.

The purpose of the course work is to solve the problem of the longitudinal vibrations of the bar using the software package MATLAB.

In this work, we consider the differential equation in partial derivatives, and studied methods for the numerical solution of the wave equation.
